BASIC.LINE

for every requirement

Medical taps and connectors

Our Basic.line presents a selection of standardized instruments specialized in minimally invasive surgery. Manufactured from high quality nickel or chrome plated brass, stainless steel and occasionally plastic, these instruments offer an excellent balance between quality and economy. Their reusability, ease of use and ease of maintenance make them a cost-effective solution for healthcare professionals.

Our medical taps and connectors are an excellent example of the outstanding quality of our products. The "VOLZER stopcocks", named after our company founder Rudi Volzer, still stand for absolute tightness and reliable performance today. With interchangeable stopcock drivers and valve pistons as well as components that can be dismantled and are easy to clean, they offer a durable and reusable solution for medical applications at an excellent price-performance ratio.

in all areas of surgery

Universally applicable

VOMED's Basic.LINE products are used across all "8 pillars of surgery". These include the

The VERESS cannula

Reduced risk of injury during abdominal surgery.

The VERESS cannula was developed in 1932 by surgeon János Veres. It consists of a sharp hollow needle and a blunt stylet. The stylet is retracted during the tissue puncture to prevent internal organ damage and slides forward again after penetration thanks to a spring mechanism.

Gas is supplied via the flow tap, whereby the CO2 introduced lifts the abdominal wall. This makes it easier for the surgeon to place the trocars in the abdominal cavity and reduces the risk of injury to the internal organs. The VERESS cannula is available in lengths from 80 mm to 200 mm.

The three-way stopcock

For two infusions one after the other or alternately.

The three-way valve allows the flow of liquids or gases. The adjustable position of the tap driver allows easy opening and closing in different flow directions.

In medical applications, the three-way stopcock enables the patient to receive two infusions one after the other or alternately via an intravenous instrument. In industry, it is used both as a mixing valve and as a distribution valve.
